The William & Lodie B. Griffin Scholarship Foundation
William and Lodie B. Griffin were the grandparents of Anthony M. Stovall, Founder and President of FHL Leadership Group. This scholarship award was created in their honor in appreciation and gratitude for all that they instilled throughout the Griffin family. Despite their middle school education, they provided the ultimate form of leadership and discipline through their actions and proven results. Hard work, good character, and perseverance was their trademark for success.
William Griffin, affectionately known as "Grandpa" was an icon of a man. One you could depend on. His words and deeds were beyond reproach. He left an indelible mark transcendent of time and change. A compassionated person who always assisted those in need from car repair services, to providing assistance to traveling strangers. He served his country in the military with honor and dignity, but most importantly he loved his family dearly.
Lodie Griffin, affectionately called "Momoo", was a woman of great strength and fortitude. She is responsible for the man Anthony is today. Her epic child-rearing methods inspired many of the younger generation Griffin Family members toward great heights of humility; and instilled a true appreciation and respect for hard work and discipline. She was the family's matriarch and "Queen Bee" - the cornerstone and conduit that ensured the family legacy. They are loved and missed dearly.
