The William & Lodie B. Griffin Scholarship Foundation
"The Beginning of an Era"
William and Lodie B. Griffin were the grandparents of Anthony M. Stovall, Founder and President of FHL Leadership Group. This scholarship award was created in honor of his grandparents in appreciation and gratitude for all that they instilled throughout the Griffin family. And despite their middle school education, they provided the ultimate form of leadership and discipline through their actions and proven results. Hardwork, good character, and perserverance was their trademark for success.
William Griffin, affectionately known as "Grandpa" was an icon of a man. One you could depend on. One whose words and deeds were beyond reproach. He left an indelible mark transcendent of time and change. A compassionated person who would always assist those in need...from car repair services to providing traveling strangers help along the way. He served his country in the military with honor and dignity, but most importantly he loved his family dearly.
Lodie Griffin, affectionately called "Momoo". Was a woman of great strength and fortitude. She is responsible for the man Anthony is today. Her epic child rearing methods inspired him and many of the Griffin Family members, toward great heights of humility - and instilled in all a true appreciation and respect for hard work and discipline. She was the family's matriarchand "Queen Bee". The cornerstone and conduit that ensured the family legacy. We love and missed them dearly.
